About

You see, Green Living Nevada represents a joint effort to seek out and bring to light those things that we—everyday, busy, realistic people—can do and those practices we can implement in an effort to live healthier, more productive and less wasteful lives. I know I don’t have all the answers—I’m quite sure no one does. Not even Al Gore. But, if we can pool our collective knowledge, strengths and desires together, it will produce a movement hard to contain. Of that I am confident.

In fact, I bet you’ll be surprised to read about the amazing underground green movement already taking place in our communities, both in Las Vegas as well as up north in Reno and surrounding areas. From chefs to artists to charities to social networks…they all have unique ways of showing us how being “green” can go far beyond twisted light bulbs and patriotic recycling bins.

My hope is this: Green Living Nevada will become an open forum, both in print and online, for any and everyone interested in contributing their talents and ideas. As far as I’m concerned, green has no definition and no boundaries. Let’s just be better. Together. Take it from our “Green Virgin” we all have to start somewhere. Besides, who said the Silver State can’t be green?
